At 14:40 on Tuesday, 21 February, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Report of lorry fire in layby on A5 - full search of the area carried out, nothing found, this was reported back as a false alarm with good intent
