At 17:40 on Sunday, 19 March, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury .

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm , alarm caused by upturned canoe that had broke away from mooring.
