At 06:21 on Monday, 27 March, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Ratlinghope.
6 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun, Craven Arms, Minsterley and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving single storey barn approx. 10m x 15m containing baler and approx. 15 bales straw, four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and thermal image camera in use
