At 19:20 on Sunday, 25 June, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of calf in the river, crews used the boat to search the river and nothing was found
