At 18:04 on Friday, 11 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Morda.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Fire involving 15 square metres of gorse and undergrowth.
