At 16:23 on Saturday, 12 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Lilleshall.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters

Fire involving approximately 1 acre of standing crops.
