At 18:12 on Thursday, 24 February, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Newport.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods

This incident was a chimney fire which was attended by crews from Wellington and Shrewsbury. The aerial ladder platform was required at the incident for inspection purposes at roof level.
