At 19:57 on Monday, 5 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Stiperstones.

2 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump were mobilised from Bishops Castle and Minsterley.

Reports of smoke seen on Striperstone which proved to be a controlled burn.
