At 16:57 on Sunday, 4 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Reports of fire in the open involving grass, undergrowth, timber fence and trees. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet and aqua backpack.
