At 11:49 on Friday, 9 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Wem.

1 fire appliance was mobilised. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Crews rescued a cat from a chimney stack on a roof. One 9 metre ladder and safe working at height equipment used.
