At 00:35 on Thursday, 14 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Automatic fire alarm activated. Checks made using thermal imaging camera. Concluded to be a false alarm due to fault on system.
