At 22:32 on Thursday, 16 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Chirk.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Short extension ladder
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was a false alarm caused by system fault.
