At 05:50 on Wednesday, 20 November, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Smell Of Burning in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Incident involved a small fire within light fitting of bedroom. Crews removed light fitting and checked area using 1 thermal imaging camera. Advice given to occupier.
