At 15:41 on Tuesday, 26 November, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Car on fire on the A5 which crews having extinguished using one hose reel jet working with foam. One lane closed due to hazards including smoke across the carriageway.
