At 09:54 on Monday, 16 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wellington .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Kitchen fire extinguished using two hose reel jets.
