At 23:53 on Monday, 14 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

No sign of fire in area. Investigation carried out along Old Potts Way. This is believed to be a false alarm with good intent caused by steam and smoke from locomotive.
