At 09:56 on Thursday, 24 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Burford.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ludlow and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

One Shetland pony rescued using Animal Rescue equipment. Crews were assisted by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
