At 10:18 on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Two separate seats of fire measuring approx 2 squared meters. Knapsacks used to extinguish.
