At 11:07 on Tuesday, 28 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

3 sheep stuck at shoulder height in bog area on farmland. All sheep have been released by the vet with the assistance of crews.
