At 16:59 on Tuesday, 28 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involving fire consisting of branches, sticks and household rubbish. Crews are extinguishing the fire using a hose reel jet and checking for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.
