At 09:41 on Friday, 31 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Oswestry.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wellington.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Environment Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

This incident was 1 fuel tanker which had left the road down an embankment. 1 male has self extricated and now in care of ambulance service. The fire service are working with the environmental agency to minimise the fuel leak from the tanker.
