At 11:59 on Sunday, 3 April, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Horse with front legs stuck in gate. Horse had freed itself upon arrival of Fire Service. Nothing in use.
