At 12:22 on Thursday, 24 May, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area in Welshpool.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Thorough search carried out. False alarm. Controlled burning.
