At 11:13 on Thursday, 21 June, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Coton Hill, Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Report of smell of burning and smoke alarm sounding in cottage. The incident was found to be a false alarm caused by overheating food.
