At 11:19 on Friday, 20 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Bridle Court, Madeley .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Tweedale.

Call to AFA actuated that was found to be a small fire involving clothing which had been left boiling on hob. The fire was out on arrival and fire crew used 2 breathing apparatus to assist with ventilating the property.
