Fuel Leak/Spillage Large

between Junctions 5 and 4, M54E

At 14:50 on Friday, 20 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fuel Leak/Spillage Large in between Junctions 5 and 4, M54E.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington.

Large goods vehicle with ruptured fuel tank. Approximately 200 - 300 litres of diesel fuel leaking onto hard shoulder. 1 hose reel jet and environmental pack in use to attempt to stem leak.
