At 17:01 on Thursday, 22 August, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Marton, Welshpool .

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One sheep trapped in brambles down steep embankment rescued using rope rescue equipment. One appliance from Mid & West Wales Fire service also in attendance.
