At 19:57 on Friday, 13 September, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving approximately 60 tons of straw bales.
