At 16:55 on Saturday, 16 January, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of smoke coming from fridge which proved to be a false alarm.
