Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, could you provide details of the following:

1. Following the Grenfell fire, and a recommendation from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's (formerly the Department for Communities and Local Government) in June 2017 to implement interim mitigating measures to ensure the safety of residents, pending replacement of cladding, how many residential buildings have introduced ‘waking watches’ in your area to ensure they meet fire safety standards?

2. Can you list the buildings?

3. Can you please specify the type of cladding where appropriate?

If the cost/time taken to compile the response breaches FOI rules, can you please answer question 1 only, and then question 2 as well if the rules allow.

  1. Following the Grenfell fire, and a recommendation from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's (formerly the Department for Communities and Local Government) in June 2017 to implement interim mitigating measures to ensure the safety of residents, pending replacement of cladding, how many residential buildings have introduced ‘waking watches’ in your area to ensure they meet fire safety standards?

There are no buildings which are currently using a waking watch in Shropshire as a need to ensure they meet fire safety standards.

  1. Can you please specify the type of cladding where appropriate?

N/A -  no known buildings within Shropshire which exceed 18m and are clad with any material which has contributed to a waking watch being implemented.
