Please can I request some information regarding your energy supply contracts under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Please would you provide me with the following information:

1.       Who, in your organisation, is responsible for deciding how your energy is bought?  Please provide the full name, title, email address and telephone number.


2.       For each of these commodities – electricity, gas and water – please can you answer the following questions:


  1. What is your current contract term – start date (DD/MM/YYYY) to end date (DD/MM/YYYY)?

  2. Do you have any options to extend?  If so, what are they?

  3. What is your termination notice period?

  4. Who is your supplier?

  5. How many meters do you have?

  6. What is your annual spend?

  7. What is your consumption?

  8. Do you currently procure your energy through a framework/PBO (Public Buying Organisation)? If so, which one? 

  9. Do you use a consultancy to facilitate your energy procurement?  If so, who?

  10. Are you happy with your supplier?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. Please refer below:

1. We have an ongoing arrangement with a PBO for gas and electric, and do not have a direct contract with a supplier. We have not carried out a process for Water, but this will be through a PBO. Our PBO (West Mercia Energy) advise that all supplies are in contract until 31/03/2019.
2. Our PBO advise that they can be extended for a further 12 months.
3. Our PBO 6 months prior to end of contract period.
4. Our PBO advise Total Gas and Power.
5. 24 Electric, 5 gas, 24 Water.
6. Annual cost for the period 01/10/16 – 30/09/17. Gas = £29,699; Electricity = £148,852. Water for April 2016 to March 2017 £30,591.
7. Annual consumption for the period 01/10/16 – 30/09/17. Gas = 1,067,261 kWh; Electricity = 1,275,797 kWh. This is not recorded for water.
