Fire safety compliance inspections - high rise residential buildings

Please provide details, including outcomes, of all fire safety compliance inspections conducted on high-rise residential buildings since 14 June 2017.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.

Inspecting Officers within the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Protection Department – Business Fire Safety, have carried out Fire Safety Audits of the three High-Rise (as defined within Building Regulations – a building where the uppermost, occupied floor, is more than 18 metres in height from the ground or fire service access level) Residential Buildings since June 2017. All three buildings were audited on the 5th July 2017 and the details are:

Apley Court – Action Plan

Richards House – Action Plan

Reynolds House – Action Plan

Follow up meetings and submissions/reports from the Responsible Person’s, Fire Engineer, have been deposited with SFRS and ongoing works have progressed appropriately.

These three audits represent an inspection target of 100% of the High Rise Residential Buildings within Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin areas.
