At 14:45 on Sunday, 17 May, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Chirk.
3 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving first floor tumble dryer, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 main jet, thermal image camera used. All persons accounted for.

At 20:02 on Wednesday, 18 March, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Telford.
3 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
Fire in first floor bedroom of property. Out on arrival.

At 04:31 on Saturday, 29 November, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Telford.
3 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington.
At 04:32 on Saturday morning Shropshire Fire and Rescue Services control room received a call to Saxon Court, Leegomery reporting a domestic property fire persons reported. Upon arrival crews were faced with smoke issuing from the ground floor of a two storey property with one person still in the property. 4 personnel were committed to the property wearing breathing apparatus and rescued one person. Adam Matthews Station Manager at Telford Fire station said “neighbours had attempted to gain access to the premises prior to our arrival but due to the dense smoke were unable to do so”. Once rescued from the premises the occupant received medical treatment on scene before being transported to hospital by land ambulance. Adam Matthews said “investigations into the cause of the fire are still ongoing but the incident is not being treated as suspicious”.” I would like to take this opportunity to remind people of the importance of having working smoke detectors in their premises with a minimum of one on each floor level.

SM Matthews said: "I would also ask that if people have elderly neighbours who live alone please take a few minutes to see they are ok and that their smoke alarms work by testing them regularly. If people would like any fire safety advice or a free visit from the fire service to discuss safety issues please call 01743 260200. "
