Representatives of three charities last night (20th January) received cheques from Chief Fire Officer Alan Taylor and Chair of the FRA Councillor Stuart West at Bridgnorth Fire Station. The donations were raised during the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Festival of Carols service and Diamond Jubilee celebration which took place at St Mary Magdalene Church, Bridgnorth, in December.
Around 400 people attended the church service and subsequent reception where a raffle was held, raising over £1100 which was shared equally among the three nominated charities - Asthma UK, St Mary's Church Fund, and The Firefighters Charity.
