At 14:04 on Friday, 25 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire Commercial in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 9/10.5m ladder
• Thermal imaging camera

One sign above chip shop alight, which was out on arrival of fire crews. Checks were made for hot spots using thermal imaging camera and short extension ladder.
