Last night Fire Control received around 50 calls mainly to flooding across Shropshire.
Advice was given to many of the callers; however we did attend a number of incidents in the Minsterley, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow areas. We have also attended an incident in the Tenbury area working alongside Hereford and Worcester Fire Service where 2 occupants of a property have been rescued.
In total over the course of 14 hours we have rescued at least 10 people from flooding related incidents.
We are expecting more severe weather and heavy downpours throughout the day so are urging everyone to be extra vigilant.
If your life is at risk dial always dial 999, otherwise for flood enquiries ring the flood line on 0845 988 1188.
