5 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump were mobilised from Baschurch, Shrewsbury, Wem and Whitchurch. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

10 acre field of cut and baled straw 100% alight 1 further field of 5 acres also alight. 6 hose reel jets in use
