You were called out for a Water Rescue Lloyds Head, Jackfield, Telford on 18th February 2020. Please could you provide further details regarding the incident and the significance of any flooding and if any further incidents were caused due to flooding in the surrounding area?

At 06:55 on Tuesday, 18 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Telford.

1 fire appliance including the Water Rescue Unit was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Occupier of 1 vehicle found to be in a safe place, awaiting arrival of recovery company.

SFRS had multiple incidents due to flooding as it was the period of our Major incident. Our water team were standing by at Ironbridge for several days, but the incidents identified above were the ones near Telford (Jackfield). We also had incidents in Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and surrounding areas. Incidents can be found on our website. Please find link to the page.
