At 17:22 on Wednesday, 10 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Wem.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Prees, Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

This incident involved a combine harvester and an area of grass measuring approximately 50m x 50m.
