At 23:04 on Sunday, 15 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Incident involving one transit van 70% destroyed by fire. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
