At 18:14 on Tuesday, 17 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Broseley.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

1 hatchback car 60% destroyed by fire, believed to be caused by a mechanical defect.
