At 13:28 on Monday, 5 February, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Dry powder extinguisher
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

1 digger well alight. Crews used an extended hosereel and dry powder to extinguish the fire.
