M54 Junction 6 towards Preston Island Shrewsbury

At 14:38 on Friday, 7 February, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Hatchback car fully involved in fire from engine bay. Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets whilst wearing breathing apparatus.
