At 17:19 on Friday, 22 April, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Shrewsbury .

5 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One single storey barn measuring 25m x 20m containing approximately 200 bales of straw involved in fire. 2 hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus in use.
