At 01:39 on Wednesday, 17 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving 1 saloon car, 1 small commercial van and approximately 15 metres of fencing.Two breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 coverin jet and thermal image camera in use.
