Barn Fire

At 15:59 on Sunday, 4 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Nesscliffe.

5 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Barn approximately 25m x 50m, containing 250 bales of hay smouldering. Hay being removed using farm machinery, two hose reel jets, one covering jet
