At 02:56 on Monday, 5 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bales Of Straw Large in Telford.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving approximately 200 tonnes of straw consisting of 450 bales. Crews damping down surrounding area to stop fire spread using one main jet and one high pressure lance.
