At 17:28 on Thursday, 27 October, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Wellington.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Cocker Spaniel dog rescued from dis-used mineshaft by crews using line safety techniques.
