At 09:17 on Tuesday, 16 January, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Train Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)

Fire involving alternator underneath train, dealt with using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel using foam
