At 12:49 on Monday, 28 January, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of possible bungalow fire which proved to be 5 metres of conifer hedging on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to dampen down and one thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. Fire believed to be started by discarded cigarette
